SCCA Solo II and Crown Autocross Club Information

SCCA Solo® Information:
The SCCA Solo® events (formerly Solo II) are contested in large parking lots, airport runways and taxiways, and even paddock areas at race tracks! The temporary circuits are marked by many orange pylons and line-marking lime in a road course fashion. These contests are designed more for handling and driver skill than speed, with a high degree of attention given to safety. Each year the SCCA holds a national championship event in Lincoln, Nebraska. The event was formerly held at Heartland Park Topeka in Topeka, Kansas and Forbes Field, just north of Heartland Park Topeka.
Crown Autocross Club Information:
The Crown Autocross Club was another group in Kansas City that competed in Solo®-style events. They attracted many of the same competitors as the SCCA Solo® events, allowing for more chances to test a driver's skill in many of the same locations.
There is also the Kansas Region of the SCCA just over in Topeka with Solo® events as well, and these three groups coordinated their events (along with other groups and the National Championships) so drivers had a variety of events and locations to choose from.
